Isla Blanca
Although it’s not a secret for locals, it’s for tourists. Isla Blanca, Quintana Roo, is
a corner north of Cancun.
Unlike other beaches in the region, Isla Blanca has been minimally intervened.
The intense white of the sand gives the island its name and the blue that
characterizes the Caribbean is present in the water, so the landscapes are
spectacular. In this place you can practice activities such as sport fishing, cycling
and kite-surfing.
If you want to arrive by car, you must take Bonampak Avenue towards Punta
Sam. This road will take you to Isla Blanca, where you will find places to park
your vehicle.
On the other hand, there are buses that leave for Isla Blanca at three different
times during the day, they are located at the corner of López Portillo and Tulum
avenues.
San Miguelito
The Archaeological Zone of San Miguelito is one of the secret corners of Cancun.
It is located within the facilities of the Mayan Museum of Cancun. In addition to
observing some plinths and a small pyramid, San Miguelito has an exuberant
nature with ceiba trees dominating the vegetation.
A few kilometers back, there is a beautiful beach with the same name.
It’s a beach that was hidden for a long time, but now it is one of the most
beautiful beaches in Cancun. So you can take a walk along San Miguelito beach
and then walk a few kilometers to see the Archaeological Zone.
Both places are within the Hotel Zone, so you can get to both by bus.
The San Miguelito beach is located between the Oasis hotel and the Ritz Carlton,
while the San Miguelito Archaeological Zone is a few steps from the Mayan
Museum.
Ruta de Los Cenotes
To immerse yourself and have fun in the famous cenotes of Cancun, you do not
need to go too far. Half an hour from Cancun, in Puerto Morelos, is the Ruta de
los Cenotes.
It’s a series of cenotes located along the highway that houses several natural and
adventure parks, as well as more than 60 cenotes, where in addition to
snorkeling, diving and kayaking, you can perform fun activities such as zip lines,
tours in ATVs or all-terrain bicycles, bungee jumping and horseback riding.
