Discover the Beauty of Bacalar on a Guided Tour Including Cenote Negro and Scenic Ponton Ride
Explore the unmatched beauty of Bacalar Lagoon on this all-inclusive tour through the heart of Bacalar Quintana Roo Mexico. Perfect for travelers seeking a balance of relaxation, nature, and local cuisine, this tour lets you experience the best of the lagoon aboard a comfortable pontoon boat.
Start your day with round-trip transportation (bus or van) from your hotel to the stunning Cenote Negro, where you’ll have an hour to swim and enjoy the views. A traditional Mexican breakfast is included — choose from chilaquiles, scrambled eggs with local herbs, or fruit and pancakes.
The adventure continues at Balneario Mármol, followed by a scenic 2-hour boat ride on a pontoon across the turquoise waters of the Bacalar Lagoon. Capture photos at key viewpoints and stay refreshed with complimentary bottled water.
Enjoy a panoramic view of San Felipe Fort and sit down for a delicious lunch by the water. Choose from freshly cooked fish fillets (grilled, garlic-style, or “a la diabla”) or classic chicken options. Before heading back, take a souvenir photo stop at the colorful Bacalar sign.
This Bacalar Mexico tour is a must-do if you’re visiting southern Quintana Roo — perfect for discovering why the Laguna de los Siete Colores is one of the most admired natural wonders in the country.

Yes, the tour includes round-trip transportation in air-conditioned vehicles. Since this is a shared service, exact pickup times may vary slightly depending on your hotel's location. We will confirm your specific pickup window once your booking is completed.
We want everyone to enjoy the experience, but please note that this tour requires boarding and disembarking from a pontoon boat. For safety and physical accessibility reasons, it may not be the best fit for guests with limited mobility.
To ensure a seamless trip, please keep in mind that the tour price does not include the mandatory local eco-tax ($25 USD per person for lagoon conservation), additional drinks at the restaurant during lunch (only one complimentary drink is included), tips for the guides and crew, souvenirs, or professional photos.
Your booking covers a traditional Mexican breakfast (your choice of chilaquiles, scrambled eggs with local herbs, or pancakes), a box lunch and bottled water on board the pontoon, and a lakeside lunch (featuring options like grilled, garlic-style, or 'diabla' fish fillets, or chicken) with one complimentary beverage.
Bacalar is a highly delicate and protected ecosystem. Only 100% biodegradable sunscreen and insect repellent are allowed. To preserve the water quality and protect the ancient stromatolites, some restricted areas of the lagoon completely prohibit the use of conventional sunscreens.
We highly recommend wearing your swimsuit and packing a towel, a change of dry clothes for the return trip, comfortable water-friendly footwear, a sun hat, sunglasses, and enough cash for the local eco-tax, extra drinks, and tips.
